Sadly, there are three things killing the use of the program for me as my go-to mix platform:ġ) No Mackie MCU functionality to speak of (including extenders)Ģ) Soundtoys and a few other plugs don't work properlyģ) On my machine (running OSX 10.6) there's a bug whereby printing reverbs and other signals resulting from the use of the i/o plug causes the audio region to physically jump forward arbitrarily by several seconds (the length of the displacement is never predictable). Music immediately sounds better running through it, and by no small margin.
The sound of mixbus is vastly superior to Logic in terms of the usual suspects: width, depth, and lack of congestion in the low mids. Some of us guys realy like this DAW and i m sure that it's becoming bigger every day,but this things MUST BE solved Soon!!! Your faders should jump to the appropriate position if your Tascam is listening for the Logic Protocol and you will know it is working then.
Then in Mixbus, go to Options>Control Surfaces and click the Mackie entry there to enable it. One going from the ardour_mcu port into your Tascam One going from your Tascam into the ardour_mcu port
